How We Help

The foundation encourages high academic standards, experiential learning, and excellence in teaching by providing scholarships and grants for new and innovative projects that, due to budget limitations, the school is unable to fund.

Student Grants

Students who are eligible for the Free or Reduced Lunch Program can receive assistance from SESEF to participant in educational experiences that they might not otherwise be able to afford. Qualifying students can receive up to $750 per year.

Each year, SESEF allocates approximately $15,000 for student grants.

Faculty Grants

The financial constraints on a smaller school like SES can make backing faculty innovation difficult. SESEF accepts grant requests for one-time investments that might otherwise not get funded.

On average, SESEF allocates up to $15,000 for faculty grants each year.

United Nations / ECOSOC

SESEF helps provide real world opportunities for students to enhance their development and understanding as global citizens and active community members.

Our school is the only US high school with observer and consultative status with the United Nations, allowing groups of students to be official observers at UN Conferences in New York and abroad.
